"Careful In What You Pray For"
For quite some time, I prayed, "Lord whatever it takes save my family and I." On April 8th 2011, I went to the Emergency Room and was checked into Porters Hospital. I thought I had blood clots or pneumonia because I had been slowing down and feeling tired for several weeks and finally could go no further. After several tests that day a doctor of Oncology walked in and informed us the diagnois was (AML) Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. I can't begin to tell you the shock wave that traveled through my family.

I am in tears of joy and gratitude to our wonderful, miracle working and amazing God. In mid March this year my older (by 2 years) sister Nancy called to let us know she had a lump removed from her arm pit and that it turned out to be cancer. She told us the site of origin for the cancer was unknown at that time. Further tests revealed it was ovarian cancer at stage 4, an advanced stage. There was good news in that none of her other major organs appeared to be involved, yet it is a very serious diagnosis. She was able to get appointments with cancer specialists in Bostonvery quickly.
I do not want to detract from the skill and expertise of these wonderful and caring people. I do honestly believe that their skill, wisdom and knowledge are gifts from God, and He blesses those who use their gifts for good. My sister had major surgery to remove the major organs involved and lymph nodes. There was one small tumor on her chest wall the surgeon was unable to remove.
Next comes the chemo therapy. Before starting the chemo therapy her cancer blood test was 313, more than 15 times higher than normal. After her first chemotherapy treatment her level dropped to 160ish. Everyone was surprised and well pleased with the result! After her second chemo treatment her blood test for ovarian cancer was 21...NORMAL!!! Praise the Lord God Almighty! Unheard of and amazing! How ecstatic we all are!
She has to suffer the effects of the treatments, the pain and nausea and extreme fatigue so the road is rough. Still the result of our prayer answering God's miraculous hand on her is astounding the cancer specialists. We are continually reminded by the medical authorities of the very seriousness of her illness and the hide and seek game it plays with its victims.
My God is greater! I will shout from the streets to the mountain tops - GOD IS GREATER!!! There is nothing impossible with God. I wish to send heartfelt thanks to all who have been praying for Nancy's complete healing of this cancer.

In December, Carson got a disturbing rash so I took him to his pediatrician's office and saw the PA. The PA told me it was warts and referred me to the children's hospital dermatology office. Two weeks later (that is when they could get me in) I saw the dermatologist who told me, the rash wasn't warts, but a form of strep and put Carson on amoxicillin. After one week of being on amoxicillin, the rash was only getting worse. I took him back to the pediatrician's office and saw the actual doctor. He took a look at Carson and said yes, it's strep and proceeded to put him on another antibiotic.
Switching antibiotics and seeing no change went on for several weeks. The doctor finally consulted the infectious disease doctors because he was stumped. They then put Carson on another series of antibiotics. Carson was on 9 antibiotics total since December and they all lasted for at least one to two weeks at a time before switching to a new one.
On Saturday, February 28th, I noticed that the rash was coming back in full force (for about a week it had appeared to be clearing up.) I called the doctor and he told me too keep him on all antibiotics until Tuesday, March 3rd and if it wasn't gone we would begin a series of shots. Twenty-one in total for one week to kill the infection and boost the immune system.
Sunday, March, 1st, Carson was anointed with oil and the church prayed. On Monday, March 2, I decided to consult a different Pediatrician's office altogether for a 2nd opinion. I took him in on Monday, the doctor cultured Carson and there was no strep! He told me to stop all antibiotics immediately! The rash is clearing up and Carson is almost 100% better!
I give all the praise and glory to God for keeping my baby from having to go through a whole series of painful shots! I am also thanking God that Carson had a sweet disposition the whole time in spite of having to be on so much medication (some of which made him extremely sick to his stomach) for almost three months! You would never have known he was sick just by looking at him. I thank God for keeping His hand on Carson and for healing him!

Good day CAC Family!
Sunday morning around 2 a.m. I was awakened by the sound of a loud "POP!" Somehow I just knew it was a bullet so I rolled off my bed to the floor, checked my wall for any bullet holes and turned off my bedroom light. I checked the rest of our house to make sure that my family was alright (they were sound asleep). Sunday afternoon, before leaving for church, I noticed a bullet hole in my study room above my Bibles. I would've been hit in the face had I been at my desk at the moment in time. Attached are pictures of the bullet entry and exit holes. My sister, Lena, found the casing of the bullet in the gutter outside of our house. It came from a .45. The police found the rest of the bullet on my floor and are running the fingerprints on it.
I'm usually awake until 2 a.m. and am usually sitting at my desk at that time, but had a sleep spell hit me around midnight on Saturday night. THANK GOD FOR HIS KEEPING HAND!!!
